ANSWERS
  1. What is this Singtone thing?

This Revoice Singtone website lets you sing along with selected popular songs, records your voice and then Singtone Studio corrects it automatically so you sound great.

It also gives your singing a score for accuracy and lets you play back your corrected and original recording with the backing track.

If you register, you will get an account and can save Singtones as MP3 files in your Singtone Basket (for FREE).

MP3 Singtones in your Singtone Basket can be sent to mobile phones (UK only at present) using Promotional or purchased Singtone Vouchers (if you have any) or by £1.50 SMS messages. You will always be told what it will cost.

After Sending your Singtones to a mobile phone, you can download it to computers or share it with friends.

You can also access your friends' Singtones on this site.

    IMPORTANT TIPS FOR RECORDING

    1. Check your computer's microphone is working and set the level of the microphone so it is sometimes (not always) reaches near the top of the meter when you sing.
Note: If possible, find and adjust your computer's main microphone level control - which is not controlled by the Singtone Studio software.
    2. Make sure the backing music is not being recorded into your microphone by using any of these tips:
      1. Keep your microphone away from the speakers.
      2. Turn your speaker volume down when recording.
      3. If it still doesn't sound right, use headphones and turn off your speakers while recording.
    3. Make sure your microphone is not close to the speakers playing the backing music.
    4. Hold the mike a few inches away from the side of your mouth to avoid "pops".
    5. If it still doesn't sound right, use headphones and turn your speakers off while recording.
